TERMS AND CONDITIONS
How Volt_Tronic works
These terms are the agreement between you and Volt_Tronic for the website, your account, orders and, if you apply, your seller shop. Please read them with the Privacy Policy, the Returns and Refunds Policy and, if you add maintenance, the Annual Maintenance Contract.
1. Agreement
By creating an account, placing an order, or applying to sell, you agree to these terms. If you use Volt_Tronic for a business, you confirm that you have authority to bind that business. Volt_Tronic is the name of this service. It is not presented as a registered trademark.
2. The marketplace
Volt_Tronic is a marketplace and a technology service for electronics. Independent sellers list the products. The seller named on a product is responsible for the description, authenticity, tax invoice, manufacturing warranty and the condition of the goods, subject to Indian consumer law. Volt_Tronic provides the account, the price quote, payment status, delivery status and, where you add it, the maintenance plan. Volt_Tronic does not manufacture the goods and does not itself repair them. A product page is an invitation to order. It does not reserve stock until an order is confirmed. Nothing in this section removes a right the Consumer Protection Act, 2019, does not allow a contract to waive.
3. Accounts
You can sign in with an Indian mobile number or an email address, using a one-time code or a password of at least 12 characters. Google or Facebook sign-in appears only when that option is switched on. You must give a contact you control, keep it accurate, and keep one-time codes, pickup codes and delivery codes private.
Creating an account requires you to accept these terms and the Privacy Policy. We store the version you accepted. One account is for one person. Do not create an account for a child.
4. Orders and prices
Prices are in Indian rupees and include GST. The delivery fee and the total are calculated by the server from the road distance to that seller and are shown before you pay. A standard delivery is ₹15 plus ₹3 per kilometre, free when the items from that shop are ₹999 or more, and capped at ₹99. A bulky item is ₹350 plus ₹15 per kilometre. An optional AMC, when you add it, is the percentage shown at checkout of that shop’s item total and includes GST. The cart saved in your browser is not an order. An order is created when you submit checkout with a saved address and accept these terms for that order. A prepaid order is confirmed only after the payment notification matches the order amount.
After delivery, the downloadable bill has two parts. The Volt_Tronic invoice lists the delivery charge, the AMC, and the GST inside each. The seller invoice copy lists the goods, the shop, and the GST on those goods. Volt_Tronic does not put the price of the goods on its own invoice.
5. Annual maintenance
You may add an Annual Maintenance Contract at checkout. The fee is the percentage shown before you pay, includes GST, and is stored on a separate record for each product, with the purchase time and the expiry. Cover starts when the order is marked delivered. Repairs are done at a service centre Volt_Tronic names, and only after Volt_Tronic approves that repair in writing. A bill for work done first and sent later is not paid. Volt_Tronic clears a covered bill only up to the approved amount, and never above the price paid for that product, unless you agree beforehand to pay the excess. Physical damage, misuse, a power surge, and cosmetic wear are outside the plan. The plan pays for a genuine internal failure that those exclusions do not remove. You bring the appliance to the centre and collect it. Volt_Tronic does not send a technician to your home under this contract. The full rules are in the AMC terms. The AMC is not a condition of buying the product. It does not replace the manufacturer’s warranty or a right under the Consumer Protection Act, 2019.
6. Payments
You can pay by the methods shown at checkout, including UPI, cards, net banking, wallets, eligible EMI or Pay Later options, and cash on delivery where the server offers it. Cash on delivery is limited: ₹2,000 until you have one delivered order, then ₹5,000, and only one cash order can be open. A larger electronics order is paid online before the shop dispatches it. When a licensed payment partner is switched on, online payment opens on that partner’s secure page. When it is not, UPI can open GPay, PhonePe, Paytm or BHIM for the exact amount, and the order stays unpaid until Volt_Tronic confirms the credit. You enter your UPI PIN, card number, CVV or bank OTP only in that app or on that page.
Volt_Tronic keeps the payment method name, the amount, and the payment reference needed to confirm or refund the order. Volt_Tronic does not store your card number, CVV, UPI PIN or bank OTP. Do not share those with a seller, a rider, or anyone who contacts you claiming to be support.
7. Delivery
Whether we can deliver depends on your address and whether an approved seller is within the delivery area. A time shown at checkout is an estimate, unless the checkout screen states a promise. Each order has a short pickup code for the seller and a 4-digit delivery code for you. Give the delivery code only to the rider who is at your door with the parcel. Do not read it out on a call or send it in a message. Volt_Tronic, a seller, or a rider will not ask for your UPI PIN, card number or bank OTP.
8. Cancellation, returns and refunds
The rules are in the Returns and Refunds Policy. Nothing in these terms removes a right you have under the Consumer Protection Act, 2019. A refund cannot be more than the amount you paid for that order. Your bank and the payment partner decide how long a credit takes to appear.
9. Sellers
A seller application asks for the shop name, owner, phone, address, GSTIN if you have one, PAN, and bank details. The bank account number is stored encrypted. Volt_Tronic reviews the application before any product can go live. Sellers must list genuine, lawful goods, keep the serial or IMEI where the product has one, and honour the return and warranty terms shown to the customer. Commission, taxes and the shop’s net are shown before the shop hands the product over, and they are not added as a hidden fee on the customer’s bill. On a prepaid order the shop’s net is credited before the shop can accept the order or hand the product to the rider. A cash order is paid by the customer at the door, and that net is credited when the order is delivered. A seller cannot withdraw an amount they type in.
10. Fraud, false statements and theft
Electronics orders are a target for fraud. These rules protect buyers, sellers and Volt_Tronic. They do not remove a right you have under the Consumer Protection Act, 2019, or any other right the law does not allow us to take away.
- Do not order with a false name, a contact you do not control, a payment method you are not allowed to use, or an address you do not occupy.
- Do not say that an order was not delivered, was robbed, was empty, or was a different item, when that statement is untrue.
- Do not return a different, damaged, incomplete or counterfeit device in place of the one that was delivered.
- Do not share a delivery code, one-time code or pickup code, except the delivery code, and only with the rider at your door at the moment of handover.
- A seller must not list goods they cannot supply, counterfeit goods, or goods whose serial or IMEI they will hide from the buyer.
A correct delivery code is the record that the parcel was handed over. Repeated wrong codes lock the handover. A claim of robbery, loss or non-delivery made after the correct code was used is reviewed. It is not an automatic refund. A refund on a phone, laptop or other high-value item can wait until the returned unit, its serial or IMEI, the box and the accessories have been checked against the item that left the shop.
Where we have a reasonable basis to believe an order, return, review or listing is fraudulent, we may refuse or cancel an order that has not yet been credited, pause the account, recover a refund where the law allows, and report the matter to the licensed payment partner and to the police.
11. Acceptable use
Use Volt_Tronic for lawful shopping or selling. Do not probe or bypass security, submit a false identity or address, or list counterfeit, unsafe or prohibited goods. We may refuse or cancel an order, or close an account, when that is needed to protect customers, sellers or the service, and we will give the notice the law requires.
12. Closing an account
Write to [email protected] to delete your account. Deletion clears your name, replaces the sign-in contact with a deletion marker, erases saved address lines and phone numbers, removes Google or Facebook links, and signs you out everywhere. Orders, invoices and tax records can remain for the period Indian tax law requires.
13. Complaints and law
These terms are governed by the laws of India. Courts and consumer commissions in India have jurisdiction as those laws provide. You can also call the National Consumer Helpline on 1915.
If we change these terms in a way that affects your account, we will publish the new version on this page with a new date. The version you accept is stored with your account.
